Olyasmi történt a magyar háztartások megtakarításaival a második negyedévben, ami az elmúlt évtizedben egyáltalán nem volt jellemző: 478 milliárd forinttal csökkent a külföldi megtakarítások állománya három hónap alatt, miközben a belföldieké csaknem 1930 milliárddal gyarapodott. Mielőtt kifejezetten a kormányváltás miatti hangulatváltozással magyaráznánk a fordulatot, emlékeztetnünk kell: ekkor zajlott a Revolut-betétek áthelyezése külföldről belföldre, az aktivizálódó magyarországi fióktelephez, emellett a forint erősödése is csökkentette a külföldi devizamegtakarítások forintértékét. Ennek fényében is kiugróak és meglepőek ugyanakkor az MNB friss számai, különösen a bankszámla- és betétállomány esetében.
