Három megye harmincnyolc településén végeznek szúnyoggyérítést ezen a héten, a kezeléseket földi permetezéssel, az esti és éjszakai órákban hajtják végre. A Balaton-parti településeken és Kaposváron főként az ázsiai tigrisszúnyog okoz gondot, míg a Dráva mentén a honos fajok jelenléte intenzív. Az idei év rendhagyóan alakult: az aszály miatt nyár elején alig kellett beavatkozni, később viszont az inváziós fajok terjedése tette szükségessé a védekezést. A szakemberek eddig negyedannyi kezelést végeztek, mint a korábbi években.
